ATG Scholarships

Over the years, ATG has awarded more than $20,000 to young musicians through competition awards and scholarships.

 

ATG currently offers two youth scholarships which are awarded at the annual ATG festival. 
 

  1. $300 for Accordion Lessons
    The Accordion Study Scholarship is for any student under the age of 21
    studying the accordion.

     

  2.  $500 for College Tuition
    The Music Tuition Scholarship is for college-age students pursuing a college degree in music.

Accordion Lesson Scholarship

Eligibility​​

  • Any ATG member or student of an ATG member​

  • Anyone not yet 21 years of age in the year the scholarship is awarded

  • Must be actively involved in studying accordion performance with an ATG approved teacher on piano accordion or chromatic accordion with either or both Stradella and free bass system

 

How to apply

  • Fill out ATG scholarship application, available at the link below. 

  • Submit a YouTube video of the applicant performing the following music: 

  

Classical or Baroque selection (no more than 5 minutes)
Original accordion selection (no more than 5 minutes)

Choice selection any style (no more than 5 minutes)

  • The deadline for applications and YouTube entries is June 30th
     

  • Applications and videos will be reviewed by an ATG panel of judges and announced 
    at the ATG Annual Festival.

  • There will be one $300 scholarship per year awarded in this category, to be paid directly to the student’s teacher, to be used toward instruction until the funds are depleted.    

  • This scholarship is not auto-renewed and the candidate(s) will need to apply each year.

Music Tuition Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Any ATG member or student of an ATG member​

  • Candidate must be college age, and is either entering or actively pursuing an undergraduate degree program in music with accordion or another applied major instrument

  • Regardless of the candidate's applied major instrument in college, he/she must be actively involved in studying accordion performance with an ATG approved teacher on piano accordion or chromatic accordion with either or both Stradella and free bass system

 

How to apply

  • Fill out ATG scholarship application, available at the link below. 

  • Submit a YouTube video of the applicant performing the following music: â€‹
